It’s a classic MLM.
Let’s look at what you said in detail. How many people in today’s economy are going to buy the “Special” Acai Berry Juice Mona Vie makes which by the way is blended with other fruit. Also you can by the Acai Berry juice in Sam’s Club and Costco for a fraction of the price.
I started my own company at the age of 17 from my home and became a self made millionaire by the age of 28. I retired at the age of 50 when one of my sons was in a motorcross accident that left him with permanent brian damage. I now devote my time to helping as many people I can avoid the scams and help them start a real business of their own rated by the Better Business Bureau. There are many to choose from. Mona Vie as far as I know is a good company that has a great product but very expensive. Not all MLM are bad.
MonaVie is a real product and a real company. The problem is this, alot of people who are ISR’s for Mona Vie think that all they need to do is get 6 people to do what they do, and those 6 get 6 and those 6 get 6 until the entire US population is in there downline,LOL.
I personally dont think its worth $45 per bottle, I think I can find something more productive to do with my money.
Mona Vie is an MLM company, I am not affiliated with them in any way but I do understand MLM which has changed drastically since the old Amway days. You don’t need to buy any tapes or anything else these days, other than the product.
One thing to understand is that you are dealing with a nutritional drink and there are many of them out there right now, so you would have to do your homework on which one might have an edge over the other.
He can’t let you try the product, it needs time to work. So if you were to just taste it, you wouldn’t be giving it a fair chance. I don’t know if Mona Vie offers a money back guarantee, but if they do, you would have to give it a fair amount of time to see if it benefits you in any way.
MLM is about both the product and recruiting, it’s a business model that may or may not be for you. If you don’t feel that you really want/need a home business that you can market either to people you know or take it online, then I would say to stay away from it. It will just leave a bad taste in your mouth like your Amway experience did.
If you are actually looking for a business, which I assume you are not by your post, then it may be something to take a look at.
Many people are quite concerned about job security right now and are looking for ways to supplement their income or even replace it. If this business doesn’t jump out and grab you, then I would wait until you find one that does.

Listen to that inner voice that’s telling you it’s a scam, because — IT’S A SCAM!
It’s a run-of-the-mill substandard juice product (containing a lot of grape juice) worth only about 1/10th or less of what they charge for it. The name of the game is to recruit you into the quasi-pyramid so that they can get you on the hook for monthly bulk shipments and an assortment of Monavie merchandise and “sales training” materials. Those at the top reap the profits.
This MLM is particularly bad because it has elements of both a pyramid scheme and a cult. The sales pitches for Monavie are laced with misleading and illegal claims about how it cures diseases, relieves pain/inflammation, promotes sleep, and provides energy — all utter nonsense. They were cited by the FDA for illegal advertising in 2007 and since then, many sources have written critiques of the product and the business (e.g. Newsweek, Forbes, Huffington Post, NY Times, Men’s Journal, etc.).
The company website has an income disclosure statement which shows that only a select few ever make any substantial income selling this juice (the people that got in early) and almost everyone else is making less than minimum wage, before expenses.
It is a MLM company, and it is a good product.
There is no reason for your husband to have to sell it,
Membership is free until the end of 2009, why not sign up and try a bottle?

Hello it’s true some people cannot afford to just give it away, but to successfully build MonaVie sometimes you have to give the bottle away. I look at it this way, the product is so good, it sells itself.
As for those how are bad mouthing MonaVie, they have no idea what they are even talking about. 0.

People who claim it’s a Pyramid scheme don’t even know what one is. Let me explain the best way I know how. If you joined me in MonaVie, you would be in my down line. BUT you can also easily make more money than me. Which means your organization that you build could be great then mine even though your under me in this example. so How is it I’m making all the money just because I’m on top of you. Hope you get this because it’s a major misconception that the last in can’t make any money. Not true in MonaVie.
The Government is a prime example of a illegal Pyramid Scheme. They take money from our pay checks for a pension plan that you & I may never see a penny of. That money will run out because soon there will be more collecting then paying into it.
Yet the FDA has no problem locking the doors on any health food company that may say that their health food has been shown to do this or that for someone.
MonaVie Pulse has been shown to lower Cholesterol and are allowed to say so because it was proven in a lab. I could tell you many other things it’s done for my family and me but I can’t because it’s not a drug, it’s a whole food.

PS To the man who said you can buy a Acai juice a Sam’s club for a fraction of the price, did they pay you to say that? Do you have any idea how MonaVie processes the Acai berry? Because it’s patent pending and NO one else has the Acai berry that MonaVie has. So remember when you drinking the juice from Sam’s club your drinking mostly water. Do you notice anything when you eat a apple or banana? You know it’s good for you but probably don’t feel anything. With MonaVie chances are you will feel the goodness. Not guaranteed but most do, I know my family does.
